The definition of the term “competence” is still not matured enough. Therefore it is a kind of source of hermeneutical risks. The using of knowledge in case of a given task let explore a lot of diverse competences. These need a meta-description. The using of knowledge can lead to different adaptation levels. The development of competences (which can only be seen as a kind of aggregated abstraction) can only be achieved based on their elements/layers.
