OTKA projects

The background of the My-X services goes back high in the past (ca. 20 years). This research was going to ensure, the human (intuitive/heuristic) knowledge/ability to be transformed automatically to source code, or to be simulated through computer programs. The well known knowledge representation (the books) can not generate customized information. The economy talks about production function, however these functions can not be found in libraries. Everyone talks about comparison, but nobody does it systematically. There are hardly researchers, who would like to have real competition between forecasting-teams. The icon of this research is easy to identify: the chess-robot. This robot ensure, completing knowledge step by step without losses and overpowering each human capabilities on the concerned fields.
The first phase of these two decade embodies best student papers (from 1987-1989) and a diploma study (1990). The third phase yielded a PhD-study (JLU, Giessen, Germany, 1990-1993, Title: Automatisierte Generierung problemspezifischer Prognosefunktionen zur Entscheidungsuterstützung. The so far realized solutions were included to the education (1993-2008).
The first research program in Hungary was started 1999 (OTKA F030664, Title: Mesterséges intelligencia alapú prognosztikai modulok adaptálása az EU/SPEL-Hungary rendszerhez az alapadatbázisok konzisztenciájának egyidejű ellenőrzésével) and closed 2003. The results emphasized, that the well known data mining software have a lot of unnecessary restrictions regarding the potential modeling parameter. In the frame of a new OTKA-research project (T049013, 2005-2008, Title: Konzisztencia-alapú jövőkutatási modellek fejlesztése) is now deriving, that the model generating can be handled without the classic testing (cf. Literature CHF/HUF case study and discussion). It should suffice to produce arbitrary future-fragments and to control the connection between these fragments (consistency). The similarity analysis can be seen as a method being close to universal.
In frame of MIAÚ and the MY-X FREE services an online book (tutorial) was created providing case-sensitive text fragments to explain some special aspects of similarity analysis. This online tutorial (HU ISSN 1419-1652) was supported by the recent OTKA project T049013. (I.) & (II.)
