What is the role of the page "Expert list"?

The aim of this service is to help those who search for a particular expert. They can find him/her through the list of names collected in alphabetical order. After choosing a name, you get exactly the same information about the expert, like in the "Expert database".

Who and how can be a part of the expert database?

At this stage of development the expert database mainly contains the employees of research institutions who are authors of publications or participants in projects. The maintenance of the page is periodic, which means that the name of authors are collected from the publication database, consolidated and added to the documents by offline automatisms. As a result of that there might be experts who have publications on the page but their names are not added to the expert database.

What kind of information can I find about experts on the page?

You can search for experts by using a similar document tree (views and thematical groups) described earlier when introducing search among documents. At this stage of development the two structures are the same. The name of authors can be found next to the name of subgroups in brackets. You can receive a list of experts (authors) and the records related to their name by clicking on a subgroup (this helps us measure expertise).

The data sheet of each author shows his/her recorded data (institution, address, telephone number, e-mail address etc., but this part of the page is under development, so some data is missing at the moment), his/her recorded publications of a given field and all other areas where his/her name is added to the page grouped by views. (Taking into account the fact that there are some views that are only technical therefore not all of the above-mentioned groups mean real special fields.
