T: Gooood Morning, Vietnam! (c.f. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Good_Morning,_Vietnam)

The QuILT-performances will always have a lot of cultural cross-references and it is worth following them and recommending similar contents originating in other cultures

S(1, ..., n): Hi, hi, ahoi Mr(s)... What? Vietnam?!

T: Welcome! It is our first meeting, and we need at once to focus on a PLA-test before starting...

S1: Stop-stop-stop! What does PLA stand for?

T: Excellent reaction Mr(s)...

S1: And, and, and: why did you speak about Vietnam here?

T: Also a good question! Thank you! May I answer them?

S1: Yeah, of course...

T: All right: The abbreviation PLA does stand for Prior Learning Assessment - and PLA is important both for you and for me. For you it is important because a few Students want surely to have the credit of this course with a very efficient workload. The most efficient way is, if I know about your characteristics. In an extreme case: I can give somebody at once the needed credits after successful closing/evaluating the PLA-test. Who is interested the have credits within a week?

S2: I think, it would be nice for me - I hope, to understand enough the new, digital world, the knowledge economy as such. Yeah, and thank you for the theater ticket! I read each chained articles in your QuILT-system. Impressive, very impressive Mr(s)... And before I do forget: I could find out an old username and password for your MIAU-WIKI - and I think, you could already see, what I did there... :-)

T: Yes, I did! :-) And I did not write to you - because: I hoped, I will come today to the class... And you will support the introduction process for the other Students - like you did start it... :-)

S2: All right, Sir, I will be here - and maybe in the further meetings too... :-)

T: O.K. - I think, the classmates did not understand maybe detailed enough, what we are speaking about... Did they?

S1: No, I think, I/we did not... Although I read also some WIKI-articles offered through the theater ticket as a kind of invitation letter for this first meeting today...

T: All right, then let us go... First of all: we should concentrate to the PLA-test, in order to have a kind of system in our activities. As some of you could already guess: the invitation itself can be seen as the first task, even the first group of sub-tasks in the PLA-test. It was namely to log,

  • who used the quasi-anonymity based on the sent username and password?
  • who tried to edit some of the wiki-articles offered for playing with them?
  • what kind of editing action were made (incl. errors, improvements, etc.)?
  • which typing speed can be assumed based on timestamps and the amount of letters?
  • who gave reactions to an other Student?
  • etc.

S(1, ..., n): What? We produced already a kind of finger print about us?

T: Yes, some of you did it! And instead of you, I would ask a lot of positive and negative questions at once: e.g.

In case of mostly positive impressions:

  • Would it be possible to rank us based on these finger prints?
  • Is somebody good enough to have at once the credits?

In case of mostly negative impressions:

  • It should not have given a GDPR-contract before logging data about us?
  • Who can see our finger prints at all?
  • Who can identify us based on the predefined usernames?

S3: Sorry, but I would ask an other question too: Do I understand well, that all the happenings till now are already massive parts of the course of knowledge economy?

T: Of course, I could answer the interesting question. But I think, it is time, to make our first voting exercise. The question of the voting is: Who think, S3 is right? Rules for the voting: it will be voted with the hand, it means: everybody can see, who is for Yes and for no. A hand with open fingers is for YES, and a hand with closed fingers is for NO. No hands in the air is an abstaining vote. Namely: it is possible, to do nothing, what can be interpreted as a kind of uncertainty concerning either the open voting system and/or the question as such. And it is also important, that everybody should have a scarf/kerchief around the eyes in order to decide independent from the other Students. After 1 minute, the eyes can be made free and we all will see the hands in the air. All right?

S(1, ..., n): O.K. Let us go...

T: As everybody can it see: ... % did not have a vote, and ... % of the voted persons is for YES and therefore the other ... % for NO.

S2: May I share a potential interpretation? (nodding from all sites) O.K. I think, it would be an relevant question - and I would now focus on the motto of the general QuILT-site: Whether a teacher should really have/develop in advance an algorithm to evaluate/interpret each %-combination heard before?

T: I, I... (discrete beeps - RuDu starting to speak)...

RuDu (with machine voice): Sorry, sorry: I would be involved into the discussion. May I?

T: Yes, Rudu, of course - your turn... :-)

RuDu (with machine voice): Thank you - Master. May I show for all the prepared expert system and its source code created for evaluation of arbitrary %-combinations?

S(1, ..., n): Stop! It is a joke?! Is not?

RuDu (with machine voice): It is not a joke, however I like jokes: e.g. How can you drop an egg from c.a. 2 meters above a concrete floor so that it does not crack? (https://www.quora.com/How-can-you-drop-an-egg-from-2-meters-above-a-concrete-floor-so-that-it-does-not-crack)

S(1, ..., n): Impossible, or maybe, if ...

RuDu (with machine voice): Did everybody ever see a concrete floor cracked through an egg dropped from arbitrary height?

T: Thank you RuDu! I hope, it is an excellent example for a joke and for thinking out of box. Is not? And I would try again to come back to the rest of the PLA-test... First of all, we should forget, that we could already have a finger print through your previous activities. What wee now need is a new test-process. We have the keyword: Knowledge Economy. We would like to interpret it. In order to have a short but compact opinion, an animation can be downloaded from Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WFQKE5UMbt8 / It would be nice to follow it, and after the animation everybody should jump to the test-site: https://miau.my-x.hu/mediawiki/index.php?title=QuILT-PLA1 / And it is still very important: if somebody feels a kind of uncertainty according to the handling with articles in QuILT-WIKI, then they, who should later make the expected WIKI-test too, can work here and now with a pen and with a sheet of paper. After the meeting today, each letter of the paper-based solutions should be stored in the appropriate QuILT-WIKI-sites. Before somebody asks: there is unlimited time for testing! This course will never want to interpret, how many resources are used for achieving a given level of knowledge and/or competence... But this should already be well-known, if somebody studied the offered version of the Terms and Conditions for QuILT-participants... :-)

S(1, ..., n): Parallel activities in the background - https://miau.my-x.hu/mediawiki/index.php/Vita:QuILT-1

Everybody may offer new description/conversation layers and/or fine tune the above mentioned initial interpretations!
